Kristin Aquilino is a marine biologist who dedicated years of her life to save the white abalone from the brink of extinction. "The Abalone Mother" follows the history of the first marine invertebrate to be listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act and the life of Kristin Aquilino to understand what it takes to save a species and what we gain from protecting life on earth.
